Question Is buying a 4 year old CPU bundle still worth it?

I was scrolling through fb marketplace and i saw a listing which had an i7-10700k, MSI Z490-A PRO a Corsair 16GB DDR4 and a Corsair Liquid Cooler with 2 fans. i was planning on buying it considering its 170 us dollars but the issue i have with it is that the components are 4 years old. is this a steal or a pass?

Well, brand new i7-10700K alone costs ~240 bucks at current moment. So, if they all work, it would actually be great buy. But if one of them won't work (MoBo is usually to die first), then you can get expensive paperweight.

So, ~350 would actually be fair used price. 170 even more so (but i have suspicion that something of them doesn't work, since price is too cheap).

around here a used custom built system with those specs would normally sell for ~$600 with a similar aged/tiered graphics card, case and disk drive(s).

i wouldn't say it's a steal, more like averaged price if they are pulled from a used system.

if they are guaranteed new still in the packaging then it is a pretty awesome deal.

unless you can see a video if it actually posting i would steer clear they may have damaged the motherboard.
