Is buying a gaming pc worth it?

I currently have an xbox one and was thinking about purchasing a pc build worth around £450 (including monitor and keyboard), however, is it worth me spending this much just to play games at slightly higher settings?

For that amount, in my opinion, no. For that much you wont even be at the quality settings of your xbox1 with a pc. PC is an expensive gaming habit. LoL

It actually depends on the games he wants to play. That build might be too weak. (as always if I'm wrong it's cool cause I'll learn something)

The graphics card is actually MUCH more powerful that one in either PS4 and Xbox One.

He can always get the 860K or FX-6300 instead of the G3258 if he wants to play heavily multi-threaded games such as Crysis 2/3, WItcher 3 etc
