I was looking at power supply to buy, one that I was looking at was the Corsair RM550X that had a $20 rebate card when it is purchased, that deal is now gone but I had noticed that Newegg was selling A Corsair RM650X that has been Corsair Certified and Refurbished and has 1 year of warranty from Corsair and 30 day returns and replacement with it, is that safe to buy for my PC?

Its not worth losing the warranty, if price is your concern buy a different brand...

How much is a new one, and how much is this refurb?
How much are you getting in exchange for giving away 90% of the warranty?

It may work fresh from the box, but I would wanna buy something high quality. I would spent the extra bucks for a brand new one.

I don't believe corsair mfgs power supplys so it could be unlikely that they were the ones who refurbed it.

In any occasion, its the last component you should consider buying a refurbished for.

The new one with the Rebate is $99 without it is $119 Non-rebate, the refurbished is $72

This is an arguably better PSU and its $10 cheaper than you wanted to pay for a new one.
