I have a gtx 660 and am wondering how much of a performance increase i would see if i buy another and put them in SLI?

Solution

From my point you shouldnt buy another 660 and sli them, most games don't have the drivers to run sli configurations,so better save money and buy a high end GPU like the 780.And also dual 660s in sli means you get performance a bit greater than the 670 and it wont perform upto a 680 so better save money and buy a high end gpu like the 780

You're giving the wrong information. The GTX 660 SLI will outperform a 680/770 by ~15% on average, more often than not even more than that. Also, most games nowadays DO support SLI, there's very few that don't. 660's in SLI approach 780 performance in some games and benchmarks, which makes sense seeing as 760's in SLI best a Titan and they're only marginally faster than the 660's.

thanks man i ended up getting another 660 on black friday for only $120. I get around 70fps on BF4 on ultra on 1080p. Thanks for looking out for me, glad i didnt get the 770 :)

Good stuff! I had 660's in SLI too and they rocked, they scale extremely well.
