[SOLVED] Is CL14 worth the cost for 1440p gaming?

Is CL14 worth it for either or both builds below? Thanks in advance for your input

build #1: 1440p gaming on core i5-12600K + RTX 2080 Ti
build #2: 1440p gaming on Ryzen 5 5600X + GTX 1660 Ti

FYI: Price of CL14 is approximately double that of CL16
32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 3200 CL 16 ($100) vs CL 14 ($200)

Worth is something only YOU can decide.

Build #1 is stronger.
Not only is the 12600K a stronger processor for gaming, but the 2080ti is the stronger graphics card.
It would do well with any ram you might want to buy.
Intel does not depend much on fast ram for performance.

3200 speed would be OK.
Normally, you can find 3600 speed at cl 18 at similar prices.
I think that is the sweet spot.
At equal speeds, lower cl is good, but there is a tradeoff.
Divide the cl into the speed and you will get a number of merit around 200. Higher is better.
