Question Is cloning necessary for 2 clean ssds?

I am ordering a computer that comes with a single 500gb SSD, i was planning on buying another SSD that I install after I get it, but is cloning going to be necessary because they are going to be pretty clean?

What are you actually trying to do?
Just add the second SSD?

If so, no cloning necessary.

If PC comes with OS already installed, then nothing to be done. 2nd SSD simply another drive for the system.

For licensing purposes you cannot clone a Windows installed somewhere else and hope to boot it up on new machine.

You can do this and windows will boot 99% of the times without issues,windows is smart enough to notice this and just disables the licence but you can keep using it unlicenced until you decide on what to do.
