Is Corsair DDR3 32GB(4x8GB) 1866 MHz RAM compatible with Asus P9X79 WS Mobo?

Bought the Corsair DDR3 32GB(4x8GB) 1866 MHz RAM (CMZ32GX3M4X1866C10) and later realized I had overlooked the memory QVL(Link to QVL)for the Asus P9X79 WS Mobo. The Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1866C9(XMP) mentioned in the QVL comes close. Will that pose a problem?

Yes, the memory which you have with you "Corsair DDR3 32GB(4x8GB) 1866 MHz RAM (CMZ32GX3M4X1866C10)" should work regardless of it not being mentioned in the QVL. QVL does not contain the entire list of compatible memory modules. There are various modules which are compatible with your motherboard but the QVL list consists of ones which were tested by Asus. But as long as the memory meets the required specification, it should be fine.

Try installing the memory in your motherboard and it is sure to work. Let me know how it goes. Cheers!!
