Is Corsair Rm 850 good enough for gaming rig?

Yeah the answer was about watts i know that they are more than enough but imean about the quality of Rm 850 for gaming.

I´ve got an RM1000 running for a few weeks now and it seems pretty good.

Some say that Corsair uses more budget components to build the RM series but I´ve had a Ax760i - which is supposed to inhibit premium components - after just two months.

 


Hi - The answer is yes & no. Yes, it is good enough for a gaming rig, but I wouldn't use it if I could
afford a better unit. As already mentioned the original RM750's & RM850's had issues and failed
Hardocp's lab testing.

Corsair has since had them modified, but they are using lower quality caps in the secondary filtering
stage, which would be understandable in the CX series. But, the RM series is positioned as a step up
series, yet using budget level caps.
