[SOLVED] Is Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 DRAM Compatable with MSI X470 Gaming Plus Motherboard?

I just finished my first PC following a recommended build I found online. I have two sticks of 8GB Ram: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 DRAM connected to this Mobo: MSI X470 Gaming Plus. I had some difficulty getting all my debug lights sorted out and now I'm down to one red led on each occupied ram slot of the motherboard. There is also a row of red leds behind the motherboard and I'm not sure what they indicate, I think they're supposed to be blue. I've tried both ram sticks in each slot with the same result, along with a second motherboard of the same kind. Do you think this is a compatibility issue? How can I check? The recommended build I followed suggested these together and I was very careful to purchase the correct items.
