Question Is creating a custom res safe?

I want to set a custom res, i'm currently running 1920x1080 native @ 144hz, but I want to create 1440x1080 at 144hz resolution. Is it safe to do so?

Make and model of your display and the make and model of your GPU. You should stick to the native resolution that your monitor supports.

I got XL2411P and RX570 8GB, if that's what you're asking.
