If that x6 is a stock clocks it is defiantly bottlenecking the GPUs overclock that unlocked Phenom II x6 and then come back and tell us what happens.

Of course it's a CPU bottleneck OP is running 2x 6870s in CF on a STOCK clocked Phenom II x6 @ 3.2ghz which would be somewhat fine for one 6870 but not two OP NEEDS to OC that CPU of his.

Do you know any programs that monitor cpu usage while in-game ?

Really?I think you need to research a litttle. My 1100T stock(it is oc'd now to 4.0ghz) doesnt bottleneck my crossfire 6950's(stock or unlocked to 6970's)Both gpu's and cpu running 90-100% in BF3 Ultra settings,1920X1200.

You could go windowed mode to monitor CPU useage in real time when playing a game but then that will force one GPU to shut down even when CF is enabled so like " Sunius " said use task manager to monitor the CPU usage it has a nice history graph that logs CPU usage.

I do believe there may be something up with your crossfire setup, however, 50% usage can be misleading. A lot of older games are designed to only use 1 or 2 cores of your CPU. If it uses 2 cores at 100%, your CPU usage will read 33%. If it uses 3 cores, your usages will read 50%. You need to look at the individual core usage for a little better idea.

Just cause your a fan boy does not mean you have to spread misinformation. FACT 6870 in a Crossfire configuration can and will be bottlenecked by a stock clocked Phenom II x6 whatever CPU

Reload the game. The aircraft carrier has a bug with a massive memory leak. All you can do is reload the game when it does that. It'll happen several times before you finish it, but to help, turn off aero and the more memory you have, the longer it takes to hit you.

How much would it take to hit for 8GB, and what about what they said, is it true that my CPU is bottlenecking and so thats why my GPU is having poor performance in games ?

Post the results of your Heaven Unigine benchmark. Post it as a screen shot so we can see the results and settings. That benchmark does not get bottlenecked by the CPU pretty much no matter what. Run it with one card and with both. If you see a marked improvement, you know that part is working.

Let's rule out the crossfire not working right before anything else.

FACT!I own 2 6950's,(dirt 3's to be exact)
FACT!I own an 1100T X6
FACT they both run at 90-100% in BF3 Ultra(1920x1200)
FACT!No bottleneck

Even my OCed Phenom II x4 955 @ 3.6ghz which is MORE powerful than a 3.2ghz x6 bottlenecks my GTX 275 in some situations so I don't see where you are getting your numbers from unless you are cherry picking. I am sure you would have OCed your Phenom II x6 to alleviate some bottlenecking.

Nicolas145,1 other thing you can try with crossfire,if it's giving you driver issues,

1-uninstall ccc using control panel, shut down
2-remove second card,restart
3-install ccc and profiles,shut down
4-install second card,start

Unfortunatly I dont play crysis,But bystander seems to know the game very well enough to help you in that department.

Make sure you run Furmark 1.9.2 and see if CFX is broken. uses gpu more than anything else.

as long as gpu usage across both cards together is at least 51% each then they are linked together.
