Is "Crossover" a good brand?

I take it ebay is pretty much the only place to get them? (how about monoprice monitors? terrible?)

whats wrong with dreamseller?

Don't know about Monoprice to be honesn, but theres a reason theres more Qnix/X-Stars than anything else. They are the only ones that are PLS and overclock pretty much guaranteed to 96Hz. Ebay is about the only place to get them, there is a site that does them US based, ipsmonitors.com or something like that, but they are just a third party, the monitor goes from Korea straight to your door, they aren't involved at all.

why are Qnix and X-Stars so much cheaper than several other brands?

Because they have no scaler (meaning you cant use it with anything that cant produce a 1440p signal), no OSD, one input, have shit speakers, a non adjustable stand etc.

Basically you are buying as barebones a monitor as it gets, but thats not necessarily a bad thing, the lack of multiple inputs means that despite the 8ms response time theres no perceivable input lag.

were they recommended based on price then?

catleap 2b's are by far the best and can be pixel clocked to about 135hz. other than that... their all lg ips panels just rebranded... except for some which are samsung pls panels.

monoprice is fine.. their really the only reputable vender in the US that offers warranty services. other than that... buy from greensum on ebay if your looking for 1440p's.

which of these 2 monitors is better--from what i can tell, the only difference is the refresh rate.

what are some good catleap sellers?
