Question Is Crystal Disk reliable in determining drive health ?

Just a week ago, Crystal Disk said my Seagate Firecuda 2.5 HDD SSHD was "Very Good", but just this morning that HDD died, no spinning or clicking sound ?

It looks at the smart scores of the drive, as reported by drive.
If there is a physical problem, it may not see it

You could have run https://www.seagate.com/au/en/support/downloads/seatools/seatools-win-master/ but its unclear it would have seen a physical problem. It does have more tests than crystaldiskinfo

The NAND flash on these SSHDs commonly goes bad, resulting in a no-spin symptom.
