As you can see in the screenshots below, it still shows 99% even though I used over 10TB for a 2TB SSD and 43TB for 4TB SSD. Is it accurate?

Why should I prepare it? They've been working with no issues so far. Plus, I already made two backups.Yes, it is fine.
However...be prepared for any of your drives to die at any moment.
"99%" means little.
Backups are what is meant by "be prepared".Why should I prepare it? They've been working with no issues so far. Plus, I already made two backups.
I do it every month. Thx!Backups are what is meant by "prepare".
ALL drives...ALL electronics...work. Right up until the moment they don't.
A few years ago, one of my SSDs, a 1TB SATA III SanDisk, was working perfectly.
Until it didn't.
Died suddenly, no known cause.
Warranty got me a new drive, a good backup routine saved the data.
So, that means it's still a long way to die. But it should be 98%. Isn't it?The Media Wearout Indicator for the WD SSD is telling you that the drive has consumed 1.00% of its rated P/E cycles (1000 cycles total) and 1.53% of its rated TBW (3000 TBW total).
