Question Is CrystalDiskInfo accurate ?

Why should I prepare it? They've been working with no issues so far. Plus, I already made two backups.
Backups are what is meant by "be prepared".

ALL drives...ALL electronics...work. Right up until the moment they don't.

A few years ago, one of my SSDs, a 1TB SATA III SanDisk, was working perfectly.
Until it didn't.

Died suddenly, no known cause.

Warranty got me a new drive, a good backup routine saved the data.

I do it every month. Thx!

The Media Wearout Indicator for the WD SSD is telling you that the drive has consumed 1.00% of its rated P/E cycles (1000 cycles total) and 1.53% of its rated TBW (3000 TBW total).
So, that means it's still a long way to die. But it should be 98%. Isn't it?

CrystalDiskInfo is usually pretty good from my experience with using it, the only problem is that S.M.A.R.T. status reporting isn't standardised from what I remember, so expect there to be variations between different reporting applications.
