Is CS:GO an MMO or a MOBA?

So it doesn't matter which type of mouse I buy? And also, do I need high dpi?

Coming from someone who played CS 1.3 , 1.6 and CS:S for years using only a basic 3 button mouse. It really does not matter since the DPI is really only for easy access. I tend to set my mice to 800 DPI when playing games and a lot of Pros have it even lower.

Edit: I don't use the extra buttons on my gaming mice, but if you are willing to setup the macros than it can be a little quicker setting up your load-out.

You should buy a mouse with at least 500Hz; get a Lowie, SteelSeries, Logtiech. You don't need many buttons, just a accurate and fast mouse.

DPI doesn't really matter, that's just a big number to advertise. Important is that it feels good and you can play well..

CS:GO is a OMFPS (Online Multiplayer First Person Shooter) if you want to be technical about its genera.

As for a mouse, it still matters. You would want something that can go low DPS (for more accurate sniping) and something that has high DPS for quicker shots. I have a Logitech G502 Proteous Core and it is great for FPS games. It has a button on the thumb area that can be assigned a different DPI when held down. SO I can drop my mouse to 200DPI so when sniping I can get more accuracy. I would suggest something along the lines of that mouse over say the G600 which is geared towards MMOs.

I used this http://wellcom.co.il/catalog/images/Microsoft/Microsoft%20IntelliMouse%20Optical.jpg mouse of years until it finally stopped working. I would be #1 in AWP matches all the time.

Now I use the Thermaltake Tt eSPORTS Talon Gaming Mouse which is $20 and blows the doors off some of those $70 mice. You just cant set macros.

If you want to spend some money on a solid mouse with macros and not a rip off than the Ozone Neon Precision Laser Mouse is for you!
