Is csrss.exe process safe?

It is confusing me since some websites say that its definitely a trojan and some say that its completely safe. So if it is a trojan, how do i delete/disable it?

It is the Client/Server Runtime Subsystem, part of the OS.

Now....might the regular/expected/usual csrss.exe have been replaced by a virus simulating that? Maybe.

Doesn't say anything. Im using avira btw.

Then you are almost certainly OK. As said...that is a normal OS file. If it had been hijacked by a virus, it would be a different file size, and your AV would report it as such.

Again:
csrss.exe is a normal, expected file. Can it be hijacked? Yes, just like any other normal, expected, filename.
