Is DDR2 ram chips the same as the memory chips on a gddr2 graphics card?

It might be a stupid question but I looked up gddr2 graphics card chips and I haven't found any results for the chips but gddr5 graphics card chips I can find. So is the memory chips on ram the same as the memory chips used on a graphics card? I want to know this because I got some cheap graphics cards that have ddr2 memory and want to see if I can upgrade them as an experiment even if people say you can't just upgrade the ram I want to try it for myself on these $5 max graphics cards I have to try to re-purpose them.

Even if you took gddr5 off one gpu and put it on another gddr5 gpu, it wouldn't work.

Nope, they are completely different.

Some cheap graphics cards used DDR2, but GDDR2 is a very different beast.

You can't put gddr5 chips on a GPU that originally takes gddr2 memory, and expect it to be anything other than a paperweight.

You missed my point. Even if they are the same, you can't just change them out and have it work. Just because I pointed out gddr5 doesn't mean it only applies to gddr5. It applies to them all.
