Is DDR3 2133 11-11-11-31 better than DDR3 1600 9-9-9-27?

I would like to know if the DDR3 2133 11-11-11-31 (G.Skill Ripjaws) is better than my current DDR3 1600 9-9-9-27 (HyperX)? In general, do we have a way to compare 2 ram sticks based on speed and timing just by looking at numbers?

Thank you.

Solution
Yes, from a purely performance standpoint they are about equal, but the higher bandwidth of the 2133 allows for more to be used at a given time, if you were to downclock the 2133 to 1600 it would run at about the same 1600/9 but you lose the additional bandwidth

Can you elaborate more about the additional bandwidth? Do you mean if multiple programs access memory at the same time, the 2133 will handle better (and the system is more responsive) than the 1600?

Will the looser timings have no bearing on the end result?

Does it also affect the Intel integrated graphics?

I believe so, yes because the integrated graphics uses your system RAM to buffer textures. I question, however the noticable difference because as you may know high-end video cards use GDDR5. I am not sure, how well that translates in terms of DDR3. There should be a benefit, yes, how much? I can not say for sure, There are benchmarks if you want to google it. Faster RAM theoretically SHOULD net you an FPS increase when using integrated graphics. Hope that helps
