[SOLVED] Is deleting partitions using MiniTool Partition Wizard enough before selling an internal HDD?

I'm planning on selling an internal HDD and am wondering if deleting partitions with that program is sufficient to remove data and if you need to create a new partition afterwards for it to be usable in someone else's computer. Would the same process apply if I also sell an external drive?

Personally, I would do the commandline function diskpart, and the clean all command.

After, you can create a new partition (to show working condition) and sell it.

Thank you for the helpful link. I'm not sure what makes it better but it doesn't look hard so I'll try it.

If you want to sell your HDD, then formatting, deleting partitions, using diskpart clean is not enough. Data still can be recovered.

Use dban to wipe data from your mechanical drives.
