Is difference between glossy and matte display noticiable for human eye?

I know matt display reduces glare at the expense of color quality and glossy display has great color quality compated to matte displays
But is the difference noticiable?
Does matt display looks that much bad as it says?

if you can, never buy a glossy display

if you have to work near a window, you will see nothing, other than yourself mirrored on the glossy screen

you can't use it in exteriors really

my previous pc was a glossy screen, i hated it, even inside it was a freaking mirror

the new one i have is matte, i love it

the colors do look more vibrant on glossy, but i can live without that, definitively

Does the image quality of a matte screen affect that much.?
And another question is that most monitors nowadays are mostly come with anti glare matte screen why is that?
