Is DriveImage XML good for moving windows from an HDD to an SSD?

I'm getting a 60GB SSD soon, and I've been looking at drive imaging software to move the OS from my boot drive to the SSD. Is DriveImage XML any good? Do I need anything other than an HDD with windows on it and an SSD with nothing on it for it to work? What other software is there and what should I use? Paying for something like acronis is not an option.
