Is dual 970s acx worth it?

My single 970 is making games like Tomb Raider drop dead gorgeous and Far Cry 3 is running at 90fps on my 144hz monitor... I don't see anything beyond 60fps, but the visuals look far better than my single 2GB 660.

Now if I do go SLI for the 970 there are issues

the HAFF 922 is not big enough=buy new case
I need a 750w psu
I need a new motherboard
Maybe an upgrade from my 3570k

So in the long run, I guess SLI is not worth my trouble.

its not worth your trouble atm. its still pretty new and could go down in price + your getting great fps

I'm not going to spout the "human brain can't see past 60fps crap" like everyone does. I know our senses are fallible and everyone is different. But at 144hz, I feel like I'm getting a massive color boost and lighting/shading boost, instead of an increase in fps. I was told that shadowplay and fraps don't display true FPS beyond 60, you need to do benchmarking.
