I'm looking at specc-ing out my next build which will run Ubuntu.

I'm aiming for something that's capable of driving at least six displays.

What I've been told (on Reddit) is that my best course of action is to buy a GPU with a really good max resolution and just use DP MST adapters daisy-chained to obtain the required amount of displays.

I was told that dual (or triple) GPU on Linux is extremely problematic from a compatibility standpoint. My only other option would be to use a GPU with a ton of outputs, like some of the Maltrox cards. Although those are really hard to find where I live.

Is dual GPU on Linux/Ubuntu still a problem? And if so what's my best option for achieving a six screen array?
