I've been looking at parts for a while now and I which parts I want but have never been able to get them for the price I wanted. I started shopping around on ebay for the parts and was impressed with the prices. Is Ebay a reliable source for computer parts and if so should I pull the trigger

if you're looking at used older-gen parts, usually it's ok as long as it's not from China. I've bought older graphics cards there with no problem but mostly from sellers in Canada or USA.

if you're looking for new-gen parts and feel like getting ripped off, buy from some random seller from China! this is especially the case with graphics cards.

bottom line, if you want legit, don't go China. it's just the way it is.

Just remember, like in any auction, you should know what you are buying, eBay is not a consultation service, you cannot ask, "will this fit my build?" whatever you ask should be precise, and a clarification to the spec of the product the seller didn't post.
