Is fx4100 worth it?

I am running a Core 2 Quad Q8300..is it worth upgrading to Fx4100(+new motherboard) for 30bucks ..will i gain performance or loose...i mostly play CSGO and usually get around 100fps (which isnt enough)with a Gtx560Ti will i be getting more fps with a Fx4100??

Yes you will see an improvement in FPS with CS:GO due to the AMD's higher clock speed (3.6GHz on all cores vs. 2.5GHz on the Q8300). But it won't be anything earth shattering. There's no way to tell how much improvement because the two chips have never been compared directly with that game in a benchmark review.

And why do you say 100FPS is not enough? If your monitor is only 60Hz in speed and non-Gsync you are not gaining anything past 60FPS in actual performance.

The FX4100 is only 1 tier above the Q8300, and has no upgrade path worth the cost, not to mention the need for another copy of Windows. I doubt that you would notice any improvement. Key word here is notice.
