Is G Sync a must?

I am looking at buying monitors and have this question, is G Sync really that important? I thought I should get it for awhile, but I couldn't find one cheap. They were all outrageously priced compared to monitors with FreeSync.

I just bought a gsync monitor 180hz and I can tell you is not worth, if you have stable high FPS and Hz you will not notice any difference, if you have low fps then you can notice some, I bought a gsync monitor and I don't use it, I prefer to enable ULMB (cause I have high fps) to reduce motion blur

I play Overwatch with stable 200-230fps on a i7 4770k and gtx770, I tested a lot with and without g-sync and really cant see any difference, I notice a big difference playing with ULMB enabled, maybe cause OW is kinda a chaotic game

I was asking the person who said they have a G-Sync monitor what kind of system specs they have because I was curious. I've not used a G-Sync monitor before either. I have a 144Hz FreeSync monitor and I've used it with an RX 580 and didn't really notice much difference than using my GTX 1070 (FreeSync disabled).

There are other tech that does the same thing but ulmb is just the one branded with gsync. https://www.blurbusters.com/faq/motion-blur-reduction/ A budget user shouldn't be getting gsync but as mentioned, it's not worth it for most cases.

G Sync --> Nvidia
Freesync --> AMD

you can use the monitor but not the Freesync technology

Don't know if I'm getting it for sure, but It's the MSI Optix G24C. It's 144 Hz, 1 ms response time, 24 inches, 1080p, and it's curved too.

negative. Freesync only works with AMD cards, Gsync only with Nvidia

You can use the freesync monitor with nvidia yes, but you can't enable freesync.

I don't really have any issues running my GTX 1070 with the Monitor: AOC - G2460PF 24.0" 1920x1080 144Hz Monitor ($198.67 @ Amazon)

..except wondering what it would be like with G-Sync.. or an RX Vega 56/64 + FreeSync.

MSI Optix G24C is a great monitor. There's nothing around that budget worth looking at for a 144hz monitor.
