is g-sync monitor worth buying?

im going to order a new monitor and recently ive read about gsync. is it worth buying right now? there are not many monitors with this feature right now but from ive read benq, acer and asus ones seem to get good reviews. does any of you guys own or tested one of those? which one would you recommend ?

G-Sync monitors are great , only if you have a nice Graphic card, however you have to pay a high price for them
I like this one with G-Sync: ASUS ROG PG278Q Black 27" 1ms(GTG) Widescreen WQHD LED Back light LCD G-SYNC 3D Monitor , Gaming Hotkeys
its a 1440p monitor and i dont think you will need anything more than this

my gpu is 780ti and that asus is a bit over my budget but im not saying no.

those ones are cheaper and i could order them even now.
But im hoping to get 27inch as i like to watch movies and im not sure if 24 will give as good experience watching films as the 27 one.
