[SOLVED] Is G-sync worth it ?

Good morning everyone. 2 months ago I bought a new gaming PC with a GTX 1080 GPU. Today I want to upgrade my monitor to 24.5 240hz 1080p.
I found 2 monitors from Asus ( PG258Q & XG258Q ) , they are almost the same except that one of them has Freesync ( AMD ) feature and the other one has G-sync ( Nvidia ) feature. So logically I should get the G-sync one because I have an Nvidia GPU... but the price difference between them is around 150$-160$. So I wanna ask: Is the G-sync worth it ? or should I buy the Freesync monitor and save around 150$ ?

Yes g-sync is worth it. If you're gonna spend money on a nice monitor, there is no reason to buy freesync which essentially is a waste of money... Because if you'd decide later to get g-sync, you'll be spending twice the money.

You should aim for a 144hz g-sync.
You'll rarely benefit from the 240hz. Much more difficult to get 240 frames in games (overall) than 144.
