I currently only have an hdd-Seagate Barracuda 1 TB HDD SATA 6 Gb/s.
Will it be as big of an increase in performance as people say it will?
It is on discount in a store near me, like 62 euros or 75 US dollars. Is it worth it?
Forgot to mention, its a hyperx fury...

I have that exact same drive. Boot drive, 2.5 years, 24/7 operation. Zero faults. Still runs fine.
However, if I were buying today, I'd look at a Samsung 840 EVO 250GB. I just bought two of those a couple weeks ago.

And yes, an SSD will vastly change your PC experience.

Yes you will notice a major improvement. It is probably the single best and most economical improvement you can make to your computer. Although your HD is rated at 6Gb/s / Sata III, it doesn't mean it will push the data that fast and it never will. It's like having a wide open freeway and you're driving a Pinto maxing out at 40mph.

Your hard drive probably spins at 7200rpm so it's speed is actually handicapped with how fast the plates spin to retrieve the data. SSD's are overwhelmingly faster because they don't have moving parts and it is how fast the algorithm can push the data thru as well as the quality of the chipset. SSD's also do not have the typical failure symptoms of mechanical hard drives.

Also, mechanical hard drives are GUARANTEED to fail. It isn't a maybe or maybe not, THEY WILL FAIL - mostly because of moving parts and your system will gradually become slower no matter how many individual parts you upgrade.

Once you get an SSD you will never go back :)

Also, I do agree with USAFRet to look into a Samsung 840 EVO 256GB. A 128GB will fill up fast.

How much are you looking to spend?

Well, where i live (Serbia) everything tends to be a lot more expensive then the prices i see on amazon and such stores... I'm looking to spend 70 euros at most here....That isn't cutting it for anything better than the HyperX Fury...Think I'll be satisfied with it though.
