Is GF256 SDR same core clocked as DDR version?

AS titled aboved, I believed if it's same NV10 nVidia GF256 GPU, then these 2 different model; SDR & DDR should also be similarly clocked or vice versa if it's not, then can the SDR be overclocked and safely obtained the same rated clocked speed as the DDR? Thxs.

The GPUs are the same, however the memory is 166 SDR, or 166 DDR (333 effective). There's no way you're gonna be able to get that 166 mhz SDR to come close to 333 mhz ever. I had a Creative Annihilator Pro (DDR GF256), which I overclocked to 160/390 before, but that was pushing it. So, assuming you can get similar speeds out of an SDR version, you'd be up to a max of 200 mhz effective on the memory.

Just as everyone has said, the core is the same and runs the same speed on both the SDR and DDR versions. Some DDR versions ran the memory at 150mhz (300mhz DDR).

Usually, one could overclock the memory on the SDR models further. (I'm talking about the base clock not the equivalent DDR speed). I have a Visiontek SDR model to which I have upgraded the fan and added RAM heatsinks. I've been running it for 9 months at 150 core/210 memory (I usually have to open the case but I can play games all day). If I use extra cooling (a room fan pointed into the open case) it will run at 152/216 for about an hour if the room is at 70 degrees F. During the summer this much overclock has been pretty "iffy" for me. (No A/C).

I've never heard of a DDR model reach 216mhz (432 DDR) memory speed but I have heard of other SDR models reach 225mhz. (I think these were mostly ELSA and Hercules cards).

Would you like a Quarter Pounder?
No, thank you. Just give me the BIG heatsink. It's an Athlon.
