Is Gigabyte Z97X Gaming GT a good motherboard?

This motherboard is reasonably priced in the UK (£180). Is it a good motherboard for both gaming, general overclocking and home use?

It sure is! A great motherboard. The ASUS ROG series are even better though, maybe you should check the prices on the ROG Hero? The Gigabyte is a great board too, though.

Why would you get than one?
Yes,it is good,but you can get a much cheaper Z97 motherboard that is the same as that Gigabyte.

Yeah, the Hero is his best option, I'd say. It's a great overclocker and has more useful features than the GT.

I'm focusing on multi-GPU configurations and future upgrading, so those may be out of the purpose

Get the Hero if you want to Crossfire/SLI in the future,no doubt about that.
