Ok guys ,i scaned GoogleUpdate.exe it is clean on virus total but 72 ppl voted it as malware 72 voted it clean,the googleupdateondemand.exe came up clean too with zero votes each way....still i am very confused cause people seem to think this infact is malware of some kind on many other forums ....Please i just want to get rid of it...How do i unininstalit it and remove it ? Also daswilhem in the comment above me mentioned that it was indeed malware ,can you tell me a bit more what you know about it?

I'm really "late to the party" on this whole google update thing,it seems there is more then one "version" for the lack of a better term of this junk.Basically there is a googleupdate.exe virus dat has nothin to do with google an can infect your system give you pop ups redirect ur browser ect....but what most of the google update threads are discussing is the real googleupdate.exe thats a part of google ,basically google being assholes installing this crap everywhere on ur system makin it run all the time,even if u manage to find and shut down all the googleupdate tasks it restarts auto every time u start ur browser etc etc..there is no way to get rid of this thing as it says here https://support.google.com/installer/answer/98805?hl=en

Google Update

Google Update "can't be removed by itself". If you remove Google Update processes from your computer, you may find that your Google programs no long function properly and, in many cases, you may see Google Update return automatically.

To fully uninstall Google Update, uninstall any Google applications you currently have installed. Approximately an hour after uninstalling your other Google programs, Google Update "should be uninstalled automatically".

WTF even if u uninstall everything from google this thing still stays on ur system an is suppose to be uninstalled automatically after a few hours???People are callin this a "legal trojan" or wateva seems google really likes to KEEP TRACK OF U AT ALL TIMES

Update Frequency

To change how frequently Google Software Update checks for updates, execute the following in the Terminal application:

$ defaults write com.google.Keystone.Agent checkInterval <frequency>
where <frequency> is the elapsed time in seconds between update checks.

To disable Google Software Update from checking for updates, execute the following in the Terminal application:

$ defaults write com.google.Keystone.Agent checkInterval 0

Does anyone know what is this mystical terminal they speak of that can lift this eternal curse ?? I really want to do this and turn off updates but don't know how :/
