Is GPU TOO Hot?

So as the title says, i have a GTX 560 ti I bought it 2nd hand from my friend, when the gpu is idle no apps open it's around 38-42 Celsius, but when i play the game nba 2k16 in all high settings, it shows 85-90 Celsius temp. Fan Duty is always @ 40%. I have 3 cpu fan, 1 is big facing the Motherboard the 2 small is facing my hard drive.

Running: 1366x768 Monitor.

Question: Is it too hot and is it ok too play with this kind of temp @ long hours?

You should keep it under 80-85, use MSI Afterburner to manually turn up the fan a bit and see if that improves things.

I think 100celsius is the limit of gpu's hardware.But staying under 80 is important for long lifespan of the card.

I just raised the fan speed, i set it to my own fan curve now running nba 2k16 at 75-80 Celsius is this ok now?

I'm using ThunderMaster to control the fan speed.
