Is GTX 1050 Ti compatible with my set up?

Hi guys, I'm planning to upgrade my computer soon and I'm not very smart when it comes to these kinds of things so I will appreciate a little bit of help from this nice community. 😀

I'm buying a Palit GeForce GTX 1050 TI StormX Videocard 4gb 128bit PCIE DDR5 soon, but I'm not very sure myself if it will work or it's compatible with my current set up.

Here's my set up list:

Motherboard: MSI H110M PRO-VH
Processor: Intel Pentium G4560 @ 3.50 ghz
RAM: 8GB DDR4 #Single 2133MHz
Current GPU: Nvidia GT 730 DDR3 2GB

So to cut it short, I want to know if GTX 1050 Ti will work on my rig, is it compatible or not? Thank you very much for your future answers mates!! 😀

As far as I can tell the Palit 1050 ti would be a perfect choice. As long as you get one without any six pin power connectors it'll rock any game without breaking a sweat. So yeah, I'd totally go for it.

Agreed; I went from a GT 730 to a GTX 1050 Ti. Tremendous difference. But it does make me crave a 1060 now...

Nvidia recommends a minimum 300w psu, and as long as you're running that or more a 1050 ti is a great upgrade. Go for it.

Everything else is fine, just tell us your power supply model, probably won't be a problem anyway, but better be safe than sorry. If you already believe your power supply is good enough, you can go with the 1050 Ti, there are no other problems.

That's PLENTY go ahead and buy that puppy. May I ask where your buying it from, because I know those Palit cards are often used as scams.

Actually, I would suggest changing the power supply. Intex units aren't exactly reliable. While the wattage is quite enough, it's not the wattage that is the problem - it is the quality of the components within the PSU that is the problem. Even though the 1050 Ti isn't exactly power hungry, still the extra load of the GPU might trigger your PSU. The final choice is up to you, if buying a good PSU is something you can do easily, I would highly recommend doing that before buying the GPU. If you don't have funds, I suppose it's a risk you'll have to take.

The "better safe than sorry" part is important when dealing with PSU's, because if the circumstances lead to the 'sorry' part, then you could end up incurring a hefty loss, so it is important to keep PSU's in mind when upgrading the GPU. Hopefully the OP is still reading this.
