Question Is gtx 1070 compatible/best for my Z87 motherboard?

What is the best compatible Nividia GPU I can upgrade to for cheap, I'm currently using a 660ti and it just can't run new games anymore hoping the gtx 1070 might be the solution that will get me through another 5 years?

1070 is still a good card but... you sure can't really get a newer GPU?
Depending on where you live it can be more expensive or no price difference at all, check prices of newer cards in your country if there's a little price difference between let's say an RX 6600 and a GTX 1070, obvious choice is the 6600.
