Is H1Z1 still full of hackers?

I was going to get H1Z1 a few days after it came out but decided against it due to the news of huge amounts of hackers.

A few months later, are they minimalised/gone?

No, there's still tons of hackers. ESP is super common, battle royale is won by hackers 99% of the time. The blatant hackers who teleport around flying with bows headshotting people are less common.

Hackers are common in games so yes H1Z1 has hackers mostly in BR and PVP but SOE DAYBREAKGAMES debs are trying their best to eliminate these hackers as you can see early access was partly for this issue to save up money for a better engine to get a better banning system.
