Is having a mixmatch (different sized monitors) bad?

I'm planning to get one 27" monitor and 2 24" or 23" monitors for gaming and I wanted to ask, will having mixmatch monitors have any limits? E.g can't use surround.

No, not at all. Surround is dependant on monitor resolutions. It's up to you though, it can feel a bit odd, but you'll quickly get used to it. Typically what people complain about, is that the two monitors (regardless of size) don't look the same, in terms of color, contrast, and overall picture quality.

Monitors should be the same resolution for amd eyefinity or nvidia surround to work - regardless of size.
