Hi I'm new to overclocking
I'm overclocking my Rx 580 4gb

So far my overclocking of my gpu is great but I am confused about the memory clock on whether it should be high as it can be or low as it can be for optimal performance.

Higher is better. But be careful because the higher you go the less stable it becomes. Watch some overclocking tutorials or read some articles to familiarize yourself with the process

And to add on the above: if you are asking what OC is worth for you can simply benchmark with a higher VRAM clock and again with standard clock rate. You should be able to see the difference even though in real life it might only bring single FPS in games.
Look for the sweet spot on higher clock rates, voltage, and temps please. Finding this requires some time and several runs.
