Is hp keyboard compatible with dell?

I have a dell inspiron and a HP keyboard (M#KU-0841). Are they compatible?

The Dell Inspiron you have is a desktop PC, correct? If it is, then, yes, your HP keyboard will work, assuming your keyboard has a USB connection.

Well I have a new HP USB Wireless keyboard and mouse (uses same USB wireless receiver); mouse works fine on Dell Inspiron N7110 laptop, but keyboard won't. Tested keyboard & mouse on my PC; no problem. My wife's laptop, no problem. AND, here's the interesting part...we actually bought two of these HP wireless keyboard / mouse, and they both have the same problem, i.e., keyboards don't work on my Dell Inspiron laptop.
