Is i5 4690 + MSI Z97 Gaming 5 worth it for $230 today?

I really need to replace my mobo and procie because of sound problems. So I've seen an offer for 12000 philippine peso I could get an i5 4690 and MSI z97 Gaming 5 which are a huge upgrade from my i5 3330 and h61 mobo. But is the price for the 4690 and Gaming 5 worth it? Computer parts are a bit more expensive compared to the states btw. Please enlighten me.

Well yes its worth it you will get a better gaming motherboard too with better CPU but the board is for OC and the CPU is not for overclocking.

No it's not worth upgrading from i5 3330 to i5 4690 .May be 10 to 15% diff but you won't see much performance boost with that money to spend .If u wanna buy cpu /mobo ,then go with r5 1600 with the same price .you will see nice improvement. Whats ur gpu and monitor resolution?

No it's not worth upgrading from i5 3330 to i5 4690 .May be 10 to 15% diff but you won't see much performance boost with that money to spend .If u wanna buy cpu /mobo ,then go with r5 1600 with the same price .you will see nice improvement. Whats ur gpu and monitor resolution?

If i'd buy the 1600 then I'd have to buy a separate motherboard and DDR4 ram which will cost another more or less 400$. As I said 230$ for both 4690 and the Z97 mobo. I already have 8gb ripjaw ddr3 ram so i wont need to spend for ram anymore. my gpu is GTX 960 which will be ugpgraded soon (it's good for now so no need to upgrade yet). 1080p is my res.
I really need to buy a new mobo because my 1155 mobo has problems with drivers which causes latency ( I use my pc for recording)

yea GPU is enofgh for your CPU i think you should go for it as you have issues with your Current system and you are limited to budget

Alright .Why dont u buy h81 series .Its too cheaper than z97. Asus h81 allows overclocking too .
