Is i5-6400 compatible with my motherboard?

So I've been looking to upgrade my cpu from i3 3240 to an i5 6400. Will my motherboard https://www.asus.com/ph/Motherboards/H61MC/ be compatible with the i5 6400?

No , completely different socket

You need to be looking at i5 3450/3470/3570 or i7 3770.

You will not get these CPU's new , you'll have to buy second hand.

Anything skylake & upwards requires a new board & new ddr4 ram.
