[SOLVED] is i5-7640X compatible with Gigabyte H81M-S2PT?

my system is i5-4460 with Rx 580 and it's bottlenecking hardly
I have a Seasonic 520W PSU
I'm thinking of getting the Intel i5-7640X since I'm on a budget....is it compatible with this motherboard? Gigabyte H81M-S2PT

No 7th gen CPU is compatible with that motherboard. Compatible CPUs can be found here:

The 7640X socket 2066 variant was essentially a Kabylake 7600 adapted/resocketed into the socket 2066/X299 mainboard, and was not a good performer for a too expensive mainboard... (The CPU was not well received, and offered no advantages over a socket 1151 variant whatsoever...discontinued quite quickly, I'd be surprised if they sold 100 of them total...)

In any event, be thankful it won't fit your your 6 year old mainboard...
