Is increasing ram (for ramdisk and superfetch) worth it?

Hey there folks, So I'm currently running this guy as my gaming/video editing + rendering build. http://imgur.com/2N0EXKH [1]
Specs:
i7 3770k OC @ 4.3ghz
HD 7870 ghz/oc edition oc @ 1150mhz
8gb (2x4gb) corsair vengeance 1600
Hyper 212 Evo cooler
160gb SSD 3gb/s
1tb WD black 7200rpm
Power level: over 9000

My question is the following. Is it worth getting another 2x4gb kit of ram to make my total 16gb? I know that I will rarely, if ever break the 8gb barrier, but I was thinking of using it as a RAM disk. I could use it to store the clips I'm working on and render to ram to perhaps speed up video rendering. I could also move temp files and cache stuff onto the ram. I know windows 7 does this automatically with superfetch, but I wasn't sure if it was worth it considering most of my applications are running off of a decently fast ssd. (Relative to my storage hdd)
Ram is quite cheap, so I wouldn't be opposed to getting another 2x4gb set of corsair vengeance.
Also, for my next build, I'll probably go LGA 2011, or whatever the equivalent will be (when either broadwell or skylake comes out) of the extreme chipset. If I expand my ram now, I'll already be set to go quad channel with my new motherboard.
Thoughts?

I was a little dumbfounded by this for a minute. i confess i never actually thought about doing it. but after looking around there is some information on the net. here's one...........
