Is infinity fabric overclockable

The new interconnect between the 4core modules has been show to be a bit of a limitation for gaming is it possible to over clock it. Also with previous and apu they were reports that memory speads really affected GPU performance will we have more memory speed options with the new apu.

How optimised Is ryzen will we see big improvements for its successor

Yes and no.

From my understanding the Infinity Fabric basically runs at half the speed of the ram you have installed. If you want to speed up the fabric speed, get faster RAM. Studies have shown pretty decent gains on the Ryzen 7 chips when paired with faster memory.

The catch is that right now Ryzen CPUs and (more likely) motherboard BIOS' are really limiting the speed that RAM will currently work at. Most guys are maxing out at 3200mhz if they are lucky. Many others still can't get past 2133mhz.

As far as optimization goes, even during the past few weeks there have been solid stability and performance updates via BIOS refreshes and even some games and programs upgrades as well. The CPU and chipset are still "infants" relatively speaking and should mature nicely in the next few months.
