Is installing a 2nd hard drive easy?

I am currently out of space on my 1 TB western digital hard drive. Is it going to be easy to just basically buy another hard drive and connect it using a SATA cable into my second hard drive slot in my computer? I just want know if anythings gonna get like erased or anything like that. If everything will be fine just tell me how I should install the new hard drive. Just like my 1st hard drive? Thanks for reading this please respond ASAP.

Super easy. just put the hard drive into your pc (mount it somewhere it should be next to your other HDD) Plus two cables into the hard drive and one into the motherboard. (the data cable that connects the hard drive and motherboard) and you're done.
