Is Intel i3 3.2Ghz strong enough to handle AMD Radeon R7 370 DUAL-X 4GB GDDR5?

Could Intel i3 550 3.2Ghz handle an AMD Radeon R7 370 DUAL-X 4GB GDDR5?
Or would it only use some of it's potential?

That I3 is getting quite old, it is 5 generations old already and will struggle in many games today mindless of the graphics card. What card do you have now?

I am running HD7770 on Phenom II x4. I was thinking on upgrading based on my parents computer since a friend recomended i3 over Phenom II.

hi atayz.

yea both cpu's are roughly identical maybe faster for the phenom honestly. depends on clock speed. an upgrade would give you more fps for sure and if you are trying to go cheap just go for it. both cpu's will bottleneck you though. to fix that I would look into a cheap cpu upgrade for your current mobo like a 6350 or depending on what it supports via bios.
