In any event, how much is actually gained (performance-wise) when going from 4.9 GHz - 5.0 GHz all core to 5.1 GHz or so?
Eh, well, I was kinda more interested in the in-silicon mitigations.

Anyway, it seems that the Xeon E-2288G is basically a R0-stepping i9-9900K, with a couple extra features enabled. Price is in the same ballpark.
