According to this page, yes it is. You'll need BIOS version 0042 or later if you haven't already got that.

Yes. Most h61 mobos will have the bios already updated for it since IvB has been out for a while now. At worst you'll have to update bios

But, after installing the G2030 on DH61WW, the CPU fan wont rotate but moves a little as if the PSU has not enough power. The PSU fan rotates then after a few seconds it stops and starts over then the CPU again moves a little. That's the cycle.

I don't think the PSU is defective as it works before with the i7 2600 installed on DH61WW. I just downgraded the CPU to G2030 as I put the i7 2600 to a new mobo for a new build.

Does this mean I need to update the bios?

There is a print on my DH61WW mobo: BTWW110001KS AA G23116-202. While the supported revisions according here http://processormatch.intel.com/CompDB/SearchResult.aspx?BoardName=DH61WW are G23116-204 or
later and G45686- All. I think G2030 cannot be supported by my mobo, is there a workaround on this considering my mobo revision is older? 🙁

By the way, is that really what happens as above (the CPU fan wont start) when the cpu is not supported by the mobo?
