I am in the market for a new monitor and I can't decide between these two models.

They are both 1080p, 144hz, 27" monitors which is perfect for me. One has a 3ms response time, and the other a 4ms response time, so that doesn't really affect me at all. They are both G-Sync compatible.

The Acer is $150 less, and curved. So I am leaning towards that one. However, the Asus is an IPS panel and the Acer is a VA panel.

Is the difference between IPS and VA really that important, that I should sacrifice the curve and $150?

Please lemme know your opinion. Thanks!

Usually the debate is TN vs IPS.... VA strikes a decent balance between the two.

To be clear, both are FreeSync monitors that are "compatible" with G-Sync - not outright "G-Sync" monitors.

The Acer makes the most sense in this situation, to me.

Thanks, ya I am aware that it's compatible, not native GSYNC. I am ok with this. And I am not really interested in TN, as visuals are just as important for me as performance since I don't really play online. I am leaning towards the Acer as well. That $150 could go a long way, and I've never had a curved monitor so that'll be cool.
