I'm trying to get the last part of my build which is the monitor, and I've found two I really like which are identical only one has IPS. They have slim bezel, 1440p, 144hz and freesync. Everything I need, I'm gonna have hard luck finding another ticking all those boxes within the same price. The problem is that the IPS monitor is out of stock everywhere.. Its proving a hassle to find. So should I wait for one to become available, or just get basically the same monitor without IPS. Would I regret not having better colour like everyone says?

Solution
An IPS will generally provide a much better viewing experience. Better colour accuracy, better contrast, better viewing angle and just look better all round. Fine for gaming, video and even for most art work (photoshop etc)

TN screen tend to be faster, and in my opinion only an advantage in competitive, fast gaming. 4 ms on that IPS is fast enough. It's 3 thousands of a second difference between the two. Do you really think you would notice a difference?

If you want a quality all-rounder - buy an IPS
If you want to be a gaming pro - buy a (1080p) TN

Unless you really need it, don't buy a TN.
